Microsoft 365 Migrations

Your M365 migration,
done without the drama.

End-to-end migration planning and execution. Whether you're moving off on-premises Exchange, consolidating tenants after an acquisition, or cleaning up a deployment that grew without a plan.

You're probably a fit if…

M365 migrations vary a lot in complexity. Here are the situations I work with most.

You're leaving on-premises Exchange

Your server is aging, licensing is expensive, and Exchange Online has been the right answer for years. You need someone who has done this before, not a vendor learning on your dime.

You just acquired a company

Two tenants, two domains, two sets of licenses. Post-acquisition M365 consolidation is a specific skill. The window for doing it cleanly doesn't stay open long.

Your tenant is a mess

Years of organic growth, no governance, duplicate groups, abandoned licenses, and nobody owns the admin account. It's fixable — but it needs a plan, not a cleanup sprint.

You're starting fresh on M365

New to M365 entirely and want it done right from the beginning — not "close enough" and then spend years cleaning up the defaults.

What's included in a migration engagement.

Scope is confirmed during a discovery call. Most engagements include some combination of the following.

Not included

  • Ongoing end-user helpdesk support
  • Third-party application integrations (Salesforce, etc.)
  • Physical server decommission
  • Ongoing M365 administration after handoff

Need ongoing M365 oversight, vendor accountability, and IT leadership after the migration is done? That's what the Fractional IT Director retainer is for.

Migrating from Google Workspace, or to a different platform entirely? Get in touch — other email and collaboration migrations can be scoped on request.

How a migration engagement works.

Migrations fail when they're rushed or underdocumented. The process below is deliberate by design.

01

Discovery & scoping

I audit your current environment — Active Directory, Exchange, existing M365 configuration, third-party integrations. From this I define scope, timeline, and where the risk actually is. You get a proposal with fixed pricing before anything starts.

02

Migration plan

A detailed runbook: what moves when, in what order, with what rollback procedure. Your team knows exactly what happens before we touch anything. No surprises during cutover.

03

Pilot migration

We migrate a small test group first. Validate the process, catch issues, and confirm the plan works before touching production mailboxes or data.

04

Production cutover

Coordinated migration executed during low-impact windows. I'm available through the critical period — until mail is flowing, authentication is working, and your team is operational.

05

Stabilization & handoff

Post-migration monitoring, issue resolution, and documentation handed off to your MSP or IT team. The engagement closes when things are stable, not when the cutover is done.
